The Donegal Collection

County Donegal borders the Atlantic Ocean in northwestern Ireland. Its rugged coastline and mountains such as the quartzite Errigal and the distinctive Muckish have long captured Adrian’s artistic eye. Glenveagh National Park encompassing forests, lakes and bogland in the Derryveagh Mountains is one Adrian’s favourite painting locations in Donegal. Trips to the Inishowen Peninsula in particular have been a constant source of inspiration for Adrian in recent years. The peninsula’s quiet unspoilt beaches and abandoned thatched cottages have provide the artist with a window to the past, where his imagination has ran free to imagine the lives once lived in this beautiful corner of Ireland.  Although many of the pieces featured here are now sold, it is hoped viewers might gain inspiration if considering commissioning Adrian to create their own Donegal artwork.
