The Mournes & South Down Collection

Adrian has long been struck by the majesty of the Mournes, the highest and most dramatic mountain range in Northern Ireland. The mountains themselves are criss-crossed by a network of paths and tracks providing access to breathtaking views. The Silent Valley Reservoir and the dune landscape of Murlough Bay are favourite painting haunts for Adrian. The towns and villages scattered along the South Down coastline feature frequently in Adrian’s artwork too. He has held several exhibitions in the renowned Slieve Donard Hotel in the seaside town of Newcastle and has painted the surrounding area. Further south, Adrian has painted the Ring of Gullion, Carlingford Lough and Flagstaff Viewpoint. Although many of the pieces featured here are now sold, it is hoped viewers might gain inspiration if considering commissioning Adrian to create their own Mournes or County Down artwork.
