Adrian Margey and Evana Bjourson will be staging a joint Summer Exhibition and Sale of their work at Portballintrae Village Hall from Friday 16th – Sunday 18th August. This annual exhibition follows hot on the heels of the duo’s three week July residency at The Arcadia in Portrush. Some of the artwork created during their residency will be showcased at the Portballintrae exhibition.
Visitors should expect to see Adrian’s dynamic portrayals of Northern Ireland’s landscape and landmarks, especially his bold, colourful depictions of the North Coast that have brought his work to prominence. Also featured in this exhibition will be his more impressionistic works that adopt a naturalistic colour palette and employ hand and finger painting techniques. Bjourson’s stunning work incorporates human interaction, seascapes and coastal experiences. Her figurative work reflects thoughts on the reason for and role of humanity while her dynamic wave paintings take inspiration from life on the North Coast.
The Exhibition will run Friday 16th August: 11am – 9pm and continues Saturday 17 August: 11am – 9pm and Sunday 18th August 11am – 6pm at Portballintrae Village Hall. Admission free – everyone welcome. Free parking is available in front of the Village Hall.
